Summer DanceFest 2026

 
  • Saturday, May 30th

    This will be our last in-person audition. If you are unable to attend, you may submit an audition video.

    What to bring:

    • Completed and signed liability waiver (class selections will be completed after placement)

    • Socks and ballet slippers (and pointe slippers if intending to train en pointe)

    • Long-sleeved shirt and full-length tights or leggings for floor work

    • Water bottle and snack

    Attire: Comfortable dance clothing

    Students are encouraged to prepare a short piece in ballet, contemporary, modern, or jazz. Alternatively, they may participate in a guided improvisation for skill assessment.

    RSVP required. Please email info@idahodancetheatre.org with:

    • Student’s name

    • Student’s age

    • Audition date

  • If you are unable to attend an in-person audition

    Video requirements:

    • Ballet- ballet barre doing one combination on the right and the next combination on the left.

    • Center work- adagio, pirouettes, petite allegro and grand allegro. Also pointe work combinations that are appropriate for your technique level.

    • Include a jazz combination AND a contemporary combination.

    NOTE: If you have attended DanceFest before, you may not need to audition or make an audition video, but we ask that your primary instructor be able to send an evaluation of your technique level.
